Dr. Alexis Lipnicky, or Dr. Lexi for short, is the new associate veterinarian joining the amazing team at Companion Animal Hospital. She grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA, where her family still resides, and attended Trinity High School, just like her two older brothers. After high school, she attended the University of Delaware, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences. During her time at the university, she had the honor of being a member of the Women’s Track and Field Team, where her event was the javelin throw.
Following her undergraduate studies, she went to York Technical Institute for her associate's degree in specialized technology. After passing her veterinary technician licensing exam, she became a licensed veterinary technician. Just six months after obtaining her license, she was accepted into Lincoln Memorial University’s veterinary medical school. There, she helped start a club focused on community outreach, was accepted into an honors fraternity, and participated in educational model building for future classes. She graduated from veterinary school in May 2025.
Being a veterinarian is her dream job, as she aims to be an advocate for pets and educate owners on the best care for their beloved animals. Dr. Lexi has a particular interest in surgery, pocket pets, behavior, and preventive medicine. Although she does not currently have any pets, she once had a rabbit named Nimbus, who sparked her interest in pocket pets.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lexi enjoys spending time with her family, watching sports—specifically football and hockey—reading, gaming, and exploring new areas with her long-time boyfriend.
